Pumari Chhish, (or Pumarikish, Peak 11) is a high peak of the Hispar Muztagh, a subrange of the Karakoram range.
It lies about 4km east of Khunyang Chhish, in the heart of the Hispar, north of the Hispar Glacier.
Pumari Chhish was first attempted by an Austrian group in 1974, who failed to climb or bypass the Yazghil Glacier on the north side of the peak.

The peak forms part of the beautiful Bal Chhish range which is a dividing marker between the counties of Nagar and Baltistan.
The Kunyang glacier is the easiest to cross however the path descending on to the western side of the glacier is becoming particularly desperate.
The Pumari Chhish glacier is easy to cross and also has stunning views north to Kunyang Chhish East, one of the most intimidating mixed rock faces that I have seen anywhere.

This summer (2003), I found such an opportunity and was engaged as a Mountain Guide with Korean Kunyang Chhish East (7,400-M) First Ascent Expedition from 1st May, 2003 to 20th June, 2003.

Polish climbers Skorek, Stanislaw Piecuch and Janusz Golab received Alpinist's B-Team Grant for an attempt on the face, which Skorek called "as big and hard as the north face of Jannu." The team climbed to 6700 meters on the face in forty-eight hours, only to be turned back by warm temperatures and heavy snow.
In 2002, with Jacek Fluder, they established a new route (VI 5.10+ A3, 1400m, 41 pitches) on the northeast face of the Alaska Range's Bear's Tooth, and the next winter established Home Speed Home (V 5.9 A3, 1100m) on the west face of the Petit Dru in the French Alps.
Kunyang Chhish East, however, would prove more problematic.
