Why aren't they all lumped together as "Turks" when all the Kurdic speakers are lumped together as "Kurds" and all the Arabic speakers are lumped together as "Arabs".
Is it because the lands inhabited by Kurdic speakers comprises a contiguous region?
Why are all Kurdic speakers called Kurds instead of Iranians; after all, their language belongs to the Iranian family, the same way that Syrian belongs to the Arabic family and Kazakh belongs to the Turkic family?

I seriously suspect that the reason is that Iranian authors with nationalistic intents want to portray Kurds as being Iranians and therefore add these long passages of Kurdic resistance against Arab invasions.
User:Amir85 is notorious for this - he has written Persian nationalistic propaganda on several articles, including the outrageous claim that the Persians invented a conmplete charta of human rights more than 2500 years ago!
Contrary to your claims, the article originally focused only on the history of Iranian Kurdistan, not on the larger geographical area, before you made your edits, which also are not supported (claiming that Romans ruled over Iranian Kurdistan).
