		"Canon et convente", kanun e kuvend (marrëveshje), ky është thelbi i së drejtës zakonore shqiptare.
		Po ashtu edhe fjala "kuvend", që do të thotë "parlament", është huazuar nga një rrënjë neolatine "convente", marrëveshje.
		Kanuni, del nga barazia edhe në një përcaktim tjetër: të pozitës së privilegjuar të klerit në kuvend.
