		Alhaji Bolaji Abdullahi, Kwara state governor’s assistant in communications and strategy, said at a press conference in Ilorin on Friday, August 27, that the government’s action stemmed from the need to prevent bloody religious crisis in Ilorin, the state capital.

		Describing Kwara as a highly indebted state in Nigeria, he revealed that N180 million was deducted from the federal allocations to the state on account of the foreign debt and was happy that the monster was being caged permanently.

		The emirship tussle in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital is yet to be over as one life was reportedly lost yesterday, following the violence trailing the appointment of a new Mogaji Aare of Ilorin and the removal of Baba Isale by Emir Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.
		The campaign office of the former governor of the Kwara State, Muhammed Lawal, was reportedly set ablaze but another report said it was the house of the late Busari Alabi Alasa (Lawal’s father) that was burnt.
		It was alleged that his house was set ablaze by the policemen mounting security in the area but the police spokesman in the state, Marcus Gideon, denied the allegation.
