On Sunday 15th June the annual Barnt Green Cricket Club Kwik Cricket tournament was held at the club.
Both of the Worcester sides were unbeaten at that stage, but a tremendous effort by the Barnt Green Lions saw them win through to the final, where they met Old Elizabethan 1 who had previously beaten them in the round-robin stage.
After half of their allotted 8 overs, the lions were up on the asking rate, but a superb maiden over followed by two wickets in two balls in the next put Old Elizabethans back on top, and at the end the Lions came up short by 14 runs.
