Kwun Tong is situated at the eastern part of the Kowloon Peninsula, and its boundary stretches from Lion Rock in the north to Lei Yue Mun in the south, and from the winding paths of Kowloon Peak in the east to the north coast of the Airport (Kai Tak) runway in the west.

The Transport Department (TD) today (August 3) reminds cross-harbour passengers on MTR Kwun Tong Line to change at Yau Tong Station to and from Hong Kong Island from tomorrow (August 4), when the station opens for service, and allow more time in making their journeys to avoid last minute rush.
A TD's spokesman said: "Feeder transport services for Yau Tong MTR Station is in operation from today (August 3), one day before the opening date, to familiarize passengers with the interchanging arrangements.
Upon the opening of Yau Tong Station on August 4, GMB route 24M will be truncated to provide linkage between Sam Ka Tsuen Ferry and Yau Tong Station.

Commencing late May this year, 160 primary students who studied in the Kwun Tong district attended a creative arts workshop led by professional mural artist Sum Sum Tse.
