Of course, Bacon's famous enough to get this job on his own, but he does have a little "in" with the show: series star Kyra Sedgwick, who just happens to be Bacon's wife.
This is apparently the third time he's directed her in a project; he directed Sedgwick in Losing Chase, his directorial debut, and the theatrical film Loverboy.
