		The band toured behind the album into the next year, but their efforts were cut short by an injury that took out drummer David Silveria.

		LAPD was made up of Reggie (fieldy snuts) Arvizu (bass), James (munky) Shaffer (guitar), David Silveria (drums), and Brian (head) Welch (guitar).
		Apparently, the band got their name because they were trying to think of a name for the band, and Jonathon came up with KoRn because of a certain homosexual episode that he heard of.
		Fieldy's dad used to be in a band with Jonathon Davis' father and in another with Head's father.

	Korn
		After issuing an LP, the members of LAPD in 1993 crossed paths with Jonathan Davis, a mortuary science student moonlighting as the lead vocalist for the local group Sexart; they soon asked Davis to join the band, and upon his arrival, the quintet rechristened itself Korn.
		Silveria also returned amid rumors of leaving the band for a fashion career, but these were merely stemming from some modeling work he had done before his injury.
		Fieldy released a gangsta rap album and Davis scored the film Queen of the Damned in the meantime, but the band resurfaced as a unit toward the end of 2001 and entered the studio for their next album.

		Until this time, LAPD's motors had been equipped with receiver sets only, and they were now equipping all the bikes with transceivers.

		Mike Shlasko, director of public safety at Symbol, said his company will furnish the LAPD with 1500 Pocket PC-based rugged handheld devices to be used in cars and by motorcycle and foot-patrol officers.
		Symbol will provide the LAPD with the handheld devices as a subcontractor to Vytek Wireless, under a deal finalized during the past few weeks.
