		The L2 waveguides are dynamic their structure and function depend on a continuous flow of the core and cladding liquids.
		Currently, we are studying the design and operation of fluid analogs of several common optical elements: single- and multi-mode waveguides, optical switches, and evanescent couplers [3].
		We used microfluidic technology to design a miniaturized waveguide dye laser, in which the laser cavity contained a liquid core-liquid cladding waveguide (Figure 3).

	Design Patterns - a personal perspective
		The Adapter design pattern provides a way for a client to use an object whose interface is different from the one expected by the client, without having to modify either.
		It may be acceptable to describe an application framework in terms of the design patterns it uses, but when describing the application transactions which are built on top of that framework I have found that a totally different vocabulary is needed.
		A design pattern is NOT a framework, though depending on whom you speak to, a group of design patterns maybe considered as a design framework.

		In short, these people as a group care about their events and making your gaming experience an enjoyable one.

		The Historical Simulations Award goes to Hammer of the Scots, Columbia Games’ block game, designed by Jerry Taylor and Andy Dalgliesh, on the medieval struggle between Edward I of England and the Scots, led by William Wallace.
		The Russian Campaign, a John Edwards design that remains one of the most popular board wargames of all time, will be republished at a date yet to be determined.
		According to the MMP press release, Gamers founder Dean Essig made an exclusive offer to sell his company to MMP, so that he could concentrate on designing wargames without the diversion of the business of running a company.
