  Minuteman ERCS
However, the type designation (LEM = silo-launched special electronics missile), the time frame of the allocation (late 1965/early 1966), and the lack of an X or Z prefix in the designation (thereby indicating an operational missile) point towards this possibility.
The ERCS UHF transmitters carried prerecorded force execution messages that were transmitted to all units within line of sight of a rocket's apogee.
The Minuteman ERCS became operational in October 1967, and remained in use until 1991, when modern reliable satellite communications systems had made the ERCS unnecessary.
