Lerg said his team did a good job of keeping open the shooting lanes and clearing the few rebounds that he allowed.

Lerg, who has started the past 11 games, is 16-5-6 with a 1.95 goals-against average and a.927 save percentage.
Even though the 19-year-old Lerg came to MSU with impressive credentials -- among his awards were USA Hockey's goalie and junior player of the year, and U.S. Hockey League goaltender and player of the year -- he knew some would doubt his ability.
