		LOMO is the acronym of the Russian Leningrad Optical Mechanical Society.
		In 1982 LOMO headquarters in St. Petersburg received an order from the state defense ministry to develop a special camera for information agencies that could be used anywhere, anytime and was easy to carry.

		The minitar isn't all that it is cracked up to be, it isn't the same quality as that of the Kiev 35's Korsar.
		And yes the Lomo does suffer from the same problem as the Kiev 35, it can just eat batteries.

		The Lomo Kompact Automat (or LC-A for short), is a small Russian-made 35mm camera that has become very cult and popular.
		Its unique feature is its automatic exposure control, so it's possible to take shots at night without a flash - the shutter will merely stay open for as long as necessary, be it 2 seconds or 2 minutes.
		Reliability can be a problem though - the Lomo isn't exactly well put together - sticky shutter is a common occurance, which I usually fix by dropping the camera on carpet from about 4 feet.
