There are more than 80 LORT theatres located in cities throughout the United States.
While most LORT theatres focus on producing "straight plays", it is not uncommon for a regional theatre's season to include one or two musicals.

 Lort Family Crest
Some of the first settlers of this name or some of its variants were: Robert Lort, who arrived in Pennsylvania in 1684; Thomas Lortan, the son of Edme and Gabrielle Bouffard, who married Marie-Françoise Marmet in Quebec City in 1752.
In continental Europe, the most ancient recorded family crest was discovered upon the monumental effigy of a Count of Wasserburg in the church of St. Emeran, at Ratisobon, Germany...
In the Lort coat of arms as in all coat of arms the crest is only one element of the full armorial achievement.
