		One the one hand is the Leelanau Trails Association (LTA), a non-profit organization which has purchased the old railbed with the intention of turning it into a trail.
		The crux of the LPOC's position is that some portions of the railbed have already in fact been abandoned, and that under the original terms from the railroad, that land should revert to the adjacent property owners.
		Unless the intention of the LPOC is to destroy land rights as the modern world understands them, there should not be an issue.

		Mayor Miller presented a proposed lease with Pend Oreille Cruises (LPOC) to lease moorage space at the City Beach for the operation of their private tour boat on a temporary basis.

	LP of Michigan: Libertarians Honor Republican L. Brooks Patterson
		The LPOC chair added that he already felt indebted to Patterson for having driven former Oakland County Republican Paul Champion out of the Republican Party and into the Libertarian Party in the summer of 1999.
		Champion joined the LP after receiving a letter from Patterson calling him "an asshole" for even suggesting that it was not proper for the Oakland County Executive to be attempting to derail legislation (then still before the legislature) making it easier for sane, law-abiding citizens to get concealed carry permits.

		Now that I have moved to that region I am trying to duplicate the success of the LPOC with the Orange County Weekly, here in the Los Angeles Weekly, Ventura County Reporter and other daily papers.
		When I first started going to LPOC meetings in January of 97, Mike Vardoulis was in charge of our weekly hangouts; he would schedule informal speeches, give event updates and work on outreach.
		He made contacts with the Advertising Director of the OC Weekly, and she would come to some of the meetings to suggest ideas and work with us on ads.
