  Women of the ELCA Get Involved: LWR Soap
Rev. Ove Nielsen, an LWR staffer in the 1950s, recalls the Wisconsin newspaper story and that such news was not unique.
LWR now works with women overseas who are doing what parish groups here have done — making their own soap.
The way LWR provides soap is only changing, and much other help is still needed as well: health kits, school kits, used clothing, quilts, sewing kits, and layettes.
