The LWS-4 Żubr (PZL-30 Żubr) was the Polish twin-engine medium bomber produced in a small series in LWS factory before the World War II Development
It was initially designed in the PZL in the early-1930s as a passenger Since the Polish Airlines LOT bought Douglas DC-2 planes instead the project was converted a bomber aircraft with a projected bomb load 1 kg.
The plane was accepted for a limited in the LWS factory in Lublin with a name Żubr (in Polish - the wisent).
In serial production, the machine received a new frontal section, a new vertical rudder, new stronger engines, a throwing device for water bombs, armour for the crew and glass cockpits for the gun stations.
LWS called the project LWS-1 and provided some innovations.
The decision was made in profit for the LWS-5, a naval version of the bomber LWS-4 "Zubr" (this sentence only in original Polish text, RT).

A-4 SkyHawkasaurus gets my vote as the u-gliest plane.
Next year they are supposed to start adding another set of hangars for the presidential fleet and class rooms.
The first two pictures are Fairey Gannets, the third is, if I remember correctly, a Caproni 'tween-wars design, and the last one is the Caproni "flying houseboat" from just after WW I - it never took off to the best of my knowledge.

With enemy airforce wiped out, LWS-4 "Zubr" bombers started attacking Lithuanian defensive positions.
Defnders, under command of lt. general Nagevitchius, were forced to retreat after five days of intensive fighting.
Five Polish divisions experienced huge difficulties in defeating the outnumbered enemy, but ultimately on 9th of June, at 4 o'clock AM, all Lithuanian units in Klaipeda surrendered.
(I had to insert an image of the LWS-5, doesn´t it look a bit better on floats than the "Zubr"?
I don´t know if there were also German photographs of the "Jastrzab" were made, although there would be a need to acquire them for to be stored for the future.
A personal remark: I am not too superstitious, but "Zubr" (= buffalo), "Karas" (= carp), "Sum" (= catfish) and "Losos" (= moose, the P-37) are not well-choosen aircraft names!
