Ironically, "LA"'s motto for this year's brutally expensive corporate retreat in Puerto Rico was, "ONE FAMILY, ONE VISION." That vision seems to be manifesting itself in the firing of all loyal employees and replacing them with twice the amount of temps.
While Davis' new label, J Records is sopping up buzz with signings like Soil out of Chicago and Alicia Keyes, they are also feeling the pressure to economize in addition to showing the world that Clive is not too old to Rock and Roll.
The sad part is that "LA" may really have the skills to pay d'bills as an executive, and I'm sure in his mind a year ago when he got the opportunity of a lifetime, he felt that he could have been a junior Clive Davis.

As Napster presently has the capability (even without enhancing its technology) to store information about and subsequently screen for a particular recording, the burden is far less and the equities are more fair to require Napster to block the transmission of these works in advance of their release.
The court may appoint an independent third party to serve as a technical expert to assist the court in connection with the dispute.
Notification by plaintiffs pursuant to this Order shall be provided to Napster in the format such records are kept in the ordinary course of business.

Much to her chagrin, she occupies a niche among fans of Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys and their ilk; the pre- to early-teenage suburban girls of America and whevever else such creatures can be found.
Her fame was so widespread among that audience that her record company has, so far, thought it prudent to mix utterances of the word "fuck" out of all songs that contain it on the first two albums she released.
By age 15 she had a record deal with La Face Records, singing for an all-girl RandB trio called Choice, which ultimately didn't work out.
