		La segunda referencia documental sobre las Majas se registra en un inventario de la colección de pinturas del ministro, fechado en enero de 1808 y realizado por el pintor y agente de José Bonaparte.
		La desnuda, realizada con una factura tersa y pulida de exquisitas entonaciones en grises, se nos muestra tendida sobre una sábana blanca que cubre parcialmente una otomana de color verde azulado colocada sobre un fondo neutro y pardo.
		La vestida, tratada con una pincelada más suelta y vibrante y con un colorido mucho más cálido, resalta sobre un fondo de tono más tostado.

		from Lone Pine, CA I'm an avid Ava Gardner fan, but this film ranks near the bottom of her career efforts, with 'The Bible', 'The Blue Bird', etc. 'The Naked Maja' is beautiful enough to look at, but is poorly directed, narrated, and edited.
		The story of the Duchess of Alba, could have been the basis for a much more interesting film, but this film is a lesson in missed cinematic opportunities.
		Costumes for Ava, in 'The Naked Maja', were quite good.
