He rented a cab for us but instead of driving it he sent his cousin who didn't speak English.

Ces vues aériennes donnent un bon aperçu du relief de Djibouti avec ses spécificités (lac Assal situé à moins 150m au dessous du niveau de la mer- golfe de Tadjoura- faille de la vallée du Rift etc...).
De là, l'avion survole à une altitude de (-)70m au dessous du niveau de la mer le lac Assal, puis la faille de la vallée du Rift avant de rejoindre Djibouti par la côte sud en passant par Arta, Khor Ambado puis Doralé et son nouveau complexe portuaire.

We drove out to Lac Assal ("Sticky Lake").
The salt mined here travels by camel caravan to Ethiopia (and also by truck, but the camels seem more romantic)
