She was also a descendant of Arpads of Hungary, through her great-grandmother Elisabeth of Bohemia, who herself was granddaughter of Anna Rostislavna of Halicia, whose mother Constance was a daughter of King Bela IV of Hungary.

Ladislas V, King of Hungary and Bohemia, the only son of Albert, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Hungary, and Elizabeth, daughter of the emperor Sigismund, was born at Komárom on the 22nd of February 1440, four months after his father's death, and was hence called Ladislaus Posthumus.
On the death of Wladislaus III (November 10th, 1444), Ladislas V was elected king by the Hungarian estates, though not without considerable opposition, and a deputation was sent to Vienna to induce the emperor to surrender the child and the holy crown; but it was not until 1452 that Frederick was compelled to relinquish both.
On the 28th of October 1453 he was crowned king of Bohemia, and from that point spent most of his time at Prague and Vienna.

King Ladislaus V Posthumus of Hungary's sudden death on the 9th of December, 1457 at Prague was brought under the same mysterious speculation (poison) as that of the next king of Hungary, King Matthias.
He waged war against his father-in-law, George Podebrady, king of Bohemia, whose daughter, Katherine, he married and died during childbirth, and after George died in 1471, he continued waging war against his successor, Vladislav II Jagiello.
It granted Matthias to have in his possession Moravia, Silesia and Lusatia, areas north and east of Bohemia, during his lifetime and after which were to revert back to Vladislav.
