  ADW: Lagomorpha: Information
Lagomorphs are small to medium-sized animals that in many ways resemble large rodents.
Another characteristic of lagomorphs is the location of the testes in males, which lie in front of the penis as in marsupials.
Lagomorphs have the ability to produce two types of fecal material, one that is wet and eaten again for further nutrient absorption, and one that is dry and discarded.

 lagomorph --  Encyclopædia Britannica
All lagomorphs (meaning “hare-shaped”) are small to medium-sized terrestrial herbivores.
With only two families and 87 species, order Lagomorpha is not a diverse group of mammals (there are more than 2,000 rodent species), but as native or introduced species they have a nearly worldwide distribution.
However, almost 30 percent of all lagomorph species are recognized as endangered species, including four pikas, seven hares, seven cottontails, and seven other...

The first lagomorph I became acquainted with stayed under a pile of used lumber and tree limbs piled up by the barbed wire fence just north of the little creek on the farm where I did some growing up.
But it was down by the "little creek," in a pile of lumber and tree limbs, where I found my first lagomorph - a cottontail about as big as a softball.
I didn't know it at the time, but it probably had a fur-lined nest under the wood and must have sensed I wasn't a threat, because it would hunch up under the limbs and stare straight ahead while its nose bobbed continuously while it chewed.

 Lagomorphic Tendencies: A Lagomorph's Lament
As a representative of the species Lagomorph, I am deeply offended by the politicization of my fellow rabbits, bunnies, hares and pikas in today's political, and so-called politically correct, environment.
Teaching children that rabbits are warm, fuzzy, adorable creatures deserving of respect is a worthy goal, but it is reprehensible to encourage, for example, intolerance of the Easter Bunny and strip it of its natural titles, status, and symbolism and then confuse children by telling them that bunnies represent "diversity".
I demand that you issue a public apology to the thousands of innocent children and their parents affected by the inflammatory manipulation of bunnies, rabbits, and lagomorphs by political activists pushing secular and gay agendas under the guise of so-called "diversity" and "tolerance".
