Lagonda 3-Litre - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The second Lagonda of the David Brown/Aston Martin era was the 1953 3-Litre.
Like its predecessor, the 3-Litre was a 4-seat car, but only 2-door closed or convertible "Drophead Coupe" models were sold first.
The Lagonda Rapide of 1961 was a final attempt to revive the Lagonda name as a luxury saloon counterpart to Aston Martin's GT cars.

For this model Lagonda decided not to build the bodywork themselves, probably for space reasons and the standard bodies were supplied by Abbott of Farnham, although several other coachbuilders performed on this chassis.
