LainOS is an OpenSource project that seeks to revolutionize the the user experience by bridging the realm between "Alien Elegance" and Human Usability, and thus create a truly new and unique interface that is user savvy and beautiful.
As it sits, the LainOS dev team is working on what we've named the "Schumann Core." The Schumann Core is going to be data director of the display server.
For those who are unfamiliar with the LainOS project, this serves as somewhat of an introduction to what we are about, and what we want to do.

LainOS promises to be FreeBSD plus more, especially in the graphics and more importantly the sound department.

It nothing you couldn't do before in the command line, but this makes it a heck of a lot easier for those new to *nix.

lainOS is a project that seeks to do a "general overhaul" of the Unix user experience.
DotGNU does not want to merely duplicate technology that is already available in proprietary software; rather DotGNU wants to be at the forefront of technological evolution.
Of course implementing the essential functionality as well as GNOME support comes forst, but when this is done I think that we should experiment to the whether we can improve the user experience through providing a lainOS-style GUI.

I was one of the handful of Lainos on the USS Midway Mon.
My father was born in San Antonio and our family has servied our country in various branches of the armed services to listen to you speak and share your experiences was touching,and gave others a chance to understand we (Lainos) have also build this country.
You know democrates have lost a lot of us to the republican party however I firmly believe if they hear you speak it would be the secret weapon in our community.
