Lake Havasu, named for the Mohave word “Havasu”, which means “blue water”, sparked the imagination of McCulloch, who purchased 3,500 acres of lakeside property along Pittsburgh Point, the peninsula that eventually would be transformed into “the island”.
Today Lake Havasu City is a vibrant, prosperous community that continues to attract new residents from all over the country, and the world.

After digging the hole 6 inches wider than the fiberglass she, I traipsed off to the rock place and put 1/2 a ton of sand in my Ford Ranger, and then picked out a nice purple flat rock for a water fall.
I spent the winter of 2001 digging in the rock hard Havasu ground, and completed the pond in April of 2002.
Disaster strikes the Havasu ponds when a dog finds it's way into the pond, causing a rip in the bottom; therefore, allowing all the water to seep under the liner.
