		The lake was named after Colonel Robert Torrens, a member of the British Parliament, in 1839 by the British explorer Edward John Eyre.

		Sunday proved to be a day of rest for some, who looked to 'Chalk' up some quality threesome time together, some of the party were wished a 'Smooth' trip home, while for others, Lake Torrens called.
