Lambton Quays Tower was proposed in 1990 @ Lambton Quay,Wellington by architects Hoadley Budge.
I was in Wellington when they were talking about all this and I went and got a brochure about it at the time and i have it at home in Wellington.
I have a funny feeling that the Majestic Centre sort of squashed the proposal a bit in that there was over supply office space in Wellington at the time.

Just missed the boat, which is a good analogy, as the harbour once came up to what is its door (100 years ago).

I have found that all starbucks in New Zealand have a sad tendency to forgo the practice used at US starbucks of brewing fresh - drip brewed coffee (the way god intended!) every 20 minutes and instead serve some form of espresso almost exclusively.
