		Lamongan stratovolcano (1,646 m) rises from a base near sea level and is built upon thick accumulations of volcaniclastic sediments derived from the Bromo complex to the west and the Argopuro complex to the east.
		Lamongan lavas are subalkaline basalt containing sparse ague phenocrysts in a groundmass of felted plagioclase and granular pyroxene and olivine.
		In the 19th century, Lamongan was the most active volcano in Java with 40 reported eruptions, the last occurring in 1898.

		Two of them were rescued by their colleagues from Sumenep, Madura, and five others remained missing until now," chairman of the Lamongan Fishermen Association H Sumaji told ANTARA here on Wednesday.
		He said the two rescued fishermen, identified as Abdul Malik and Suyanto, were found drifting on a jerrycan at sea on January 21, five days after their boat was engulfed in high seas.
