It is not known exactly where the land of Punt was actually located, but it was somewhere to the southeast of Egypt - probably on the east coast of Africa near the south end of the Red Sea.
Punt was the supply for tree-gum (myrrh or frankincense) which were used in Egyptian temple rituals.
