Among the many predictions for the new millennium are the orbiting of at least 31 satellites by the year 2000 in polar orbit providing land cover data at resolutions of one to thirty meters.
Land coverage and ground resolution: All but two of the satellites will cover the total land mass since they are in polar sun synchronous orbit.
Land coverage frequency must be considered in two ways, the frequency with which the system can provide images of the total globe, and the time it takes to revisit a given site.

Honoring Nations 1999 >> Land Claims Distribution Trust
In particular, the spending plan specifies that the Band’s portion of the settlement be transferred to a Land Claims Distribution Fund and that the entire amount be invested (with an appropriate balance between income potential and wealth protection).
The plan further directs the Band to post 80 percent of the investment principal as collateral for a loan and to distribute loan proceeds on a per capita basis to all eligible members.
The Band’s Council, Chairmen, and citizenry continue to be supportive of the spending plan and of the opportunity it now presents to substantively honor tribal elders’ lifetime contributions to and sacrifices for the community.

The label "progressive" hardly seems appropriate for a band that sounds like they are still in the 80s, but insofar as they have pulled off almost every progressive rock cliché, I have to give them credit as a bona fide progressive rock band.
Strange Land is a good band and, although they are a little rough around the edges, they have put out a really good album.
Strange Land managed to avoid the most common problem with bands that put out their own CDs, which is to make a really bad CD.

UBL: artist profile - Land of Anger
To be honest the band Land Of Anger was initiated by Rafal Pick (guitar), Przemek Popowski (vocal) and Marcin Cieslak (drums) in 1997/1998.
The first concert of Land of Anger took place in Kaziemierz Biskupi on extremely small stage but the second show was played in Bydgoszcz, the place of band’s creation, in “Kuznia” club with Cicatrix and Mortis Dei.
With such crew the band started to create much harder compositions in depressive-nihilistic ideological concept, which is a base of Land Of Anger’s creative invention till today.

Honoring Nations 2000 >> Grand Traverse Band Planning and Development   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-01)
Its land base and population have grown dramatically (from 12.5 to over 1,300 acres and from 18 families to more than 3,800 enrolled members respectively), it has developed a thriving economy (grounded by a highly successful gaming enterprise), and it has formed a sophisticated and competent system of government.
Since the Band’s land holdings are scattered throughout six communities, a significant number of non-Indian stakeholders were worried about the effect that tribal projects would have on the character of their communities, about the impact on tax rolls of placing Indian land in trust and about the possible negative consequences of expanded tribal infrastructure development.
Thus, in 1997, the Grand Traverse Band Tribal Council authorized the creation of the Planning and Development Department as a sovereign means of improving and preserving of the Band’s land base.

 Promised Land by Queensryche CD
Although they cut their teeth as a touring band opening for the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC and Def Leppard, they're not really a straight-ahead metal band, but rather inhabit a similar space as a band like Rush.
PROMISED LAND sets a don't-look-don't-touch tone with the shamanistic minor cycles of "I Am I" while the Near Eastern Peter Gunnisms of "Damaged" and the acoustic drones of "Out Of Mind" anchor anthems about society's disconnected castaways and abused adolescents.
PROMISED LAND marks Queensryche's growing maturity, with a rich sonic canvas--a broader collage of sounds, images and musical styles than most of the one-trick metal bands currently fertilizing the fields of pop.
