GIS/EM4 - Effect of Soil Landscape Parameterization for Watershed Modeling
It was found that the lumped parameter approach is highly sensitive to the way in which the soil landscape is parameterized while the distributed approach is less sensitive and the sensitivity became obvious only during the time of moisture stress.
The soil landscape over the study area was characterized using two different schemes for this study.
This can be explained by the fact that the representation of spatial co-variation of local topography and drainage area under the distributed approach captures the major variation of local soil conditions, and the impacts of over- or under-estimation of soil properties in the conventional soil map are much reduced under the distributed approach.

Then there are those bands that have a melting pot characteristic to their music creation.
The band comes in and works together at creating their sound and in writing their songs.
With each member possessing this refined talent, the band is able to avoid, at least in the early stages of the band's incarnation, succumbing to the pitfalls of stubbornness and egos.

 The Band: A Musical History
The band returned to a folksier basis for their music, largely abandoning the blues that had so heavily informed the sound of The Hawks.
The Band's aborted attempt at "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" could position them alongside the Carter Family, but they continually resist that background by overlapping their vocal lines with just a bit of premeditated imprecision.
Although The Band had suitable commercial success, its inheritors in terms of place tend to be figures in the margins, both in the music world and in culture.

We call them "macro aspects," a landscape designer’s three primary building blocks from which we work to determine the smaller aspects; these are 1) the property’s circulation, 2) its open space, and 3) the planting beds.
In the planning and development of this ranch landscape, the circulation was the primary aspect that had to be defined prior to considering the plantings and lawn areas.
In any residential landscape proposal, it is essential to look at the circulation needs of people and vehicles prior to defining the lawn and planting beds.

Meeting People is Easy (1998): Radiohead, Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Ed O'Brien, Colin Greenwood - PopMatters Film ...
The notion of the music, and the tour, slipping out of the control of the band is repeated in a scene in which lead singer Thom Yorke mopes around alone in his hotel room after being insulted at a club in Manhattan.
Trains, buses, and airplanes carry the band from one cramped, inhospitable city to another, one small, impersonal hotel room to the next: there is an allegory at work, linking the rigors of the tour and the banal rigors of a plasticized, digitized world.
The band on tour, at the nucleus of such a frenzy — the "buzz" around them in 1998, when they won best album of the year from NME — seems to exist in a microcosmic approximation of the creepy world they critique in OK Computer.

There was always something detached and artificial about Landscape — as though they were slumming in contemporary music and would rather be doing something more artistic — but they did make enjoyable records that work on a number of different levels.
Burgess' self-produced solo record — six long numbers with a large collection of sidemen (one Landscape bandmate) adding synthesizer and guitars — is sophisticated and tedious commercial dance music of little interest.

The band’s Krishnacore, combining Indian metaphysical philosophies with East Coast hardcore, finds the band continuing its quest to merge the spiritual aims of the East with a distinctly Western style.
Musically, the band hammers home a package managing to integrate both its arrangements and vocal melodies into a tight unit, a trick many free-wheeling hardcore singers overlook in their zeal to become their act’s focal point.
The band’s fare leans heavily on the melodic, however, with few tracks on this album packing the angry hyperbole of straight-up hardcore.

Landscape may also signify the objects around one in a building.
The word landscape comes from the Dutch word landschap, from land (patch or area that comes from the Basquish word landa meaning labored earth) and the suffix -schap, corresponding to the English suffix "-ship".

 Family Of God
Family of God's debut American record, 1998's We Are the World (the follow-up to the band's critically acclaimed self-titled European debut), may be somewhat ironically titled, but as you listen, this record will blossom and grow in your consciousness until it does seem to become your world.
That's the way the band operates: upon first introduction, you find yourself disoriented by the set of inversions and juxtapositions that make up the band's musical landscape: heavy synthesizer-based dance rhythms, wistful heartfelt pop melodies, odd bits of electronic noise, and random vocal samples.
At the band's center is Adam Peters, once the keyboardist and string arranger for the seminal neo-psychedelic British pop band Echo and The Bunnymen.
