	A Next-Generation Community College Curriculum for Energy-Efficient High-Performance Building Operations
		With these issues in mind, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) Environmental Energy Technologies Division (EETD), and the Peralta Community College District, which includes Laney College in Oakland, California, conducted a focus group and follow-on interviews with approximately 50 building industry stakeholders to discuss building operator education at the community college level.
		Based on the focus group assessment, EETD researchers are developing a new curriculum in collaboration with five community colleges, along with an innovative simulation-based learning tool to teach students how to commission and operate high-performance buildings.
		Berkeley Lab will support community college faculty and students at colleges with environmental controls technology associate degree programs so they can use the updated curriculum and innovative tools developed through this partnership.

		It's one of the chief ways the state has been able to provide you in the past 30 years with college at, yes now, $18 a credit unit, making California by far the cheapest and largest (and best in my opinion) community college system in the world.
		I have worked simultaneously at three colleges, in three counties, three districts, taught five classes, driven 250 miles a week, taught summer school every year, eaten as well as I could and earned less than half what you full-time guys earn for doing less work than I do.
		Many times the president of the college - no matter which college - has reportedly said “I will not hire a part-time teacher to be a full-time teacher on our staff.” That vote of confidence has left me feeling a little, if not a lot, numb.

	Water Polo results - Athletics
		11/7/06: Water polo traveled to West Valley College for conference tournament, in which they ended up losing to Foothill College 11-8 and Marin College 6-5, but their tournament was not full of losses winning their third game against Laney College 7-1.
		Friday the H2O polo team was in the A flight of the tournament competing against the better teams of the tournament.
		But in the game against Laney College, Chabot won by a score of 14 - 7.
