		We get lots of questions about the Max Lange attack, so we have offered a line here for White that is little played but very dangerous.
		The purpose of the Max Lange is to open lines in the center in order to get at the Black king before he castles.
		If Black does castle, generally that's a bad sign, so you have to get something in return as in the regular Max Lange where White ties up the entire kingside.

		As some of my readers may know, I am a big fan of the Max Lange Attack, an opening which involves sacrificing a pawn for quick development.
		The opening known as the King's Gambit has certainly been refined and revised since 1851, but now is seen less and less frequently during tournament play.
		Lange voluntarily gives up the right to castle (a modern no-no) on move four with 4.Kf1, only to follow it with the complete destruction of his kingside pawns!

		White's opening involves an early central break, pawn to d4, as in the Scotch Game, but instead of immediately recapturing the pawn, white continues to develop rapidly with Bc4 and 0-0, possibly sacrificing his pawn at e4 temporarily in the process.
		The opening goes into lines of the Two Knights Defence, Giucco Piano and Max Lange, but the essential feature is the attack down the central files, especially by the white rook which rapidly comes to e1 before fl has been able to castle either side.
		This is the essential position of the Central Attack and this is where it differs from the Scotch Game pure and simple, because white would have recaptured by Nxd4 instead of playing Bc4.
