		In the Langue d'oc dialect a Bastide is a new town, and so were the Albigensian Bastides in the thirteenth century.
		The name Languedoc comes from the term langue d 'oc, which denoted a language using oc for "yes" (from Latin hoc), in contrast to the French language, the langue d 'ol, which used ol (modern oui) for "yes" (from Latin hoc ille).
		And as Catharism became the state religion in the Languedoc (from Langue d'Oc, the beautiful Occitan language of the Cathars) the Church began a full scale crusade to eradicate the heretics of southern France.
