Larkana or Larkano (Urdu: لاڑکانہ) is a district of Sindh province of Pakistan.
It is home district of two former Prime Ministers of Pakistan, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto.
In 2005, the President Pervez Musharraf government bifurcated the district, forming new district called district Shahdadkot, with two towns of Qambar and Shahdadkot.

Larkana has a fertile Land that cultivates all kind of fruits and vegetables, including potatoes, melons, olives, oranges, peas, carrots, cucumber and mangoes.
Some 10 Km far away from the city, sugarcane is cultivated to fill up the needs of Sugar Mill established in 1990, in Nau Dero Village, the birth place of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

LARKANA: The district government of Larkana has decided in principle that if the Sindh government will not authorise it to recruit employees from grade 1 to 15 then the district government will not be bound to pay them.
However, sources in the district government said the appointment orders of the Sindh government would not be implemented in the district because salaries of these employees will be paid by the district government.
In the petition, the Larkana district government will take the plea that there are allocations in the district budget for the vacancies, which were announced by the Sindh government.

LARKANA, Jan 4: Many cases of a skin disease known as leishmaniasis have been reported in the district.
Confirming the outbreak of the disease, the focal person for leishmaniasis in Larkana, Dr Farooq Soomro said 10 to 15 patients belonging to different parts of Larkana and Dadu districts were being reported in the OPD regularly.
He said it was Feb 2001 when 130 cases of the disease were detected in the Kachho belt of the Shahdadkot district.
