In the autumn of 1991 Gerard Larrousse did a deal with Robin Herd of Fomet 1 for the construction of an F1 chassis and 65% of the team was sold to the Venturi car company.
At the end of the year Gerard Larrousse fell out with Robin Herd and cars for 1995 were not built.
Larrousse went on to reinvent the company to run sportscars but without success.

In 1989, he was called up to the French Larrousse team for the French Grand Prix, replacing Yannick Dalmas.
He was rewarded with a full-season drive for Larrousse in 1990.
Bernard elected to stay on at Larrousse for the 1991 season, but the team were in trouble, losing their Lamborghini engines to the quasi-works Modena F1 team, having their 1990 points stripped by the FIA and also losing sponsors.

Although Vinatier (Alpine) and Cella (Lancia Fulvia) had both gone ahead on points, Mikkola was able to retain his position because Frenchman Larrousse (Alpine), having lost his lead to Elford on the previous stage, lost his suspension to a wall.
Larrousse was running racing tyres at the time because of the favourable conditions, when he came upon a patch of snow, ice and gravel laid down by some spectators (said also to be French) in the hope of making the rally more interesting!
These actions resulted in a lengthy fist-fight between Larrousse and the spectators that only ended when the local Gendarmes arrived.

The view of some 15 Lamborghini Diablo one standing next to the other is indeed impressive but surprisingly I couldn't find the name Larrousse on any of the cars but I didn't worry too much about that as there were some cars with no name at all on them.
When dropping into the Lamborghini area again I asked one of the officials which one Gérard Larrousse's car was and he told me that Monsieur Larrousse would not take part in this round of the series and probably re-enter it at Enna-Pergusa.
One could see lots of drivers, I even managed to force some of them (Babini, Hallyday, Larini) to sign my race program, the spectators were (just the opposite to F1 races) fair and not completely drunk, the officials friendly, all in all a nice weekend although completely successless from the 'Pironi-historical' point of view.

The 1990 season with Larrousse and Lotus was promising with Larrousse's Eric Bernard and Aguri Suzuki picking up points throughout the year, Suzuki gave Lamborghini its first podium finish in Japan and the team finished sixth in the World Championship.
The Ligier team took over Larrousse's supply in 1991 and Modena Team replaced Lotus but neither team scored points although Eric van de Poele was running fourth at Imola when his car broke.
For a short period Forghieri was technical director of Modena Team but then returned to Lamborghini Engineering to work on the development of a 60-valve version of the engine.

Ligier were worst hit with J 8th and B-B Vic 9th both just a tenth slower than the Larrousse duo but for the first time this year there were no Ligiers in the race.

I'll be able to try stuff out now because I'm of school for a week I can spend my spare time testing and continousl editing it...

In the early nineties, whenever the end-of-season Pacific double header at Suzuka and Adelaide came up, Gerard Larrousse's team was in the habit of selling its seats to the highest bidder.
In 1993 Japanese veteran Toshio Suzuki (no relative of Aguri) snapped up one of the Larrousse-Lamborghinis for a Grand Prix debut at the late age of 38.
He had been too young to be involved with the first Japanese wave in F1, when the likes of Kazuyoshi Hoshino and Masahiro Hasemi upset the regulars at their home GP at Fuji in the mid-seventies.

French motor racing team Larrousse have announced that Swiss driver Jean-Denis Deletraz will make his Formula One debut at the Australian Grand Prix later this month.
There could be up to four drivers making F1 debuts in Suzuka, among them Taki Inoue in the Simtek.
Larrousse Ford have a couple of options with Erik Comas partnered by either Jean-Denis Deletraz or Hideki Noda.
