Allen was a member of the Dallas Cowboys' Super Bowl Champion team in 1995, has been named All-Pro seven times and has represented the NFC in the Pro Bowl in ten of his thirteen seasons; at one point playing seven consecutive Pro Bowls before an ankle injury in 2002.
At the request of new head coach Bill Parcells, the normally quiet Allen has recently become a more vocal on-field leader for the Cowboys, and is the sole remaining Cowboy to have played in their Super Bowls of the early 1990s.
