Larry Elder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Laurence Allen "Larry" Elder (born April 27, 1952 in Los Angeles, California) aka "the Sage from South Central" is an American libertarian-minded Republican radio and former TV talk show host and author whose The Larry Elder Show is nationally syndicated on ABC Radio Networks.
Elder was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the city's Pico-Union and South Central areas, Elder attended Washington Preparatory High School and later graduated from Crenshaw High School and earned his B.A. in Political Science in 1974 from Brown University.
Elder described her as "The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court," and called her "toots." He also had her guess the soundbites from "The Eagle-Eared Elderado Exam." Currently, he ends his Friday program with an audio clip of him wishing his late mother love (and her response), as a tribute of sorts.

American Politics Journal -- Larry Elder Reloaded
And because of that small oversight (non-sight?), Larry was unable to inform his audience that the point in question was actually argued during the show.
Larry also ran sound-bites from left-winged partisan classics like "Two Weeks Notice," a film that didn't last as long as its title, and "The Smart Guy," a WB show that was canceled to the Disney Channel graveyard over three years ago.
Elder often chastises his adversarial callers for not being well-informed -- or at least as well-informed as the information his producers or the Media Research Center supply to him.

Archive | January 1997 | Is Larry Elder a victim of censorship?
Larry Elder hosts a show on KABC 790AM in Los Angeles and describes himself as fiscally conservative, but liberal socially (which really means that he is a little more rational than the average conservative, not more liberal).
Many radio stations would support Elder simply out of their respect for the concept of freedom of speech, but in Elder's case, his position might not be as strong.
Elder, though, is enjoying a lot of popularity so clearly he will not be going anywhere unless Disney fails a gut check, which I consider to be a reasonable hypothesis.

VDARE - Things Even Larry Elder Can't Say (Immigration is One) by Dan Seligman
Elder, a talk-show host in Los Angeles radioland, is obviously a smart, sensible guy with a nose for sniffing out politically correct nonsense and a breezy writing style that works well against the silliness he's elaborating.
Elder's chapter on welfare sprawls all over the place, with arguments about the perverse incentives built into welfare systems, about too-high tax rates, about the unintended consequences of government mandates, and quite a lot more - and Milton Friedman would have been burned at the stake years ago if any of this was really unmentionable.
Elder completely ignores immigration reform, a staple that has been forcibly removed from our public dialog by tacit agreement between the establishment parties and media (which is why we have VDARE).
