The Las Vegas Gladiators have no connection to the Pittsburgh Gladiators, the Arena Football League team that is now the Tampa Bay Storm.
The AFL schedules for the 2003 season had already been devised, so the Las Vegas Gladiators would play that season in the Eastern Division of the National Conference, before shifting in 2004 to the American Conference's Western Division.
The Las Vegas Gladiators relocated to Las Vegas for the 2003 season and play their home games at the Thomas and Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Tim Neverett, who was the radio announcer for the previous AFL franchise in Las Vegas, said a news conference will be scheduled Thursday to announce the New Jersey Gladiators' move to Las Vegas for the 2003 season and play at the Thomas and Mack Center.
Las Vegas previously was the host to an AFL team when the Sting played at the Thomas and Mack in 1994 and the MGM Grand Garden in 1995.
Las Vegas actually appeared to be closing in on an AF2 league team over the summer, an unnamed source said.

The Gardens at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve, previously called the Desert Demonstration Gardens, (8 acres) are desert botanical gardens located at 3701 West Alta Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada.
American traveler John C. Fremont camped at the springs in 1844, but the springs stopped flowing to the surface in 1962 as the water table dropped as more water was pumped out to meet the demands of a growing population.
The Las Vegas Springs Preserve consists of 180 acres dedicated to nature walks and displays, in addition to the garden; these additional areas are expected to open in 2007.
