It looks like the latticeconstant influences very heavily the quality of the MSD plots obtained from a given simulation (compare 19981124 and 19981126).
The latticeconstant used in 19981126 (which was the same used in 19981113-19981117-19981119), which gives a good MSD plot, was taken from the paper of Brinkman [

The latticeconstant "α" of the square base of a CMR material is approximately 3.8 to 3.9 Å depending on the material composition.

The latticeconstant of the square base of CMR materials is approximately 3.8 to 3.9 Å depending on the material composition.
In some crystal structures, however, the edge lengths along all axes are equal (a=b=c), so only one latticeconstant is used for its dimensional description, a.
Latticeconstant values and knowledge of crystal structure are needed to calculate distances between neighboring atoms in a crystal, as well as in determining some of the crystal's important physical and electrical properties.
Note that, depending on the crystal structure, the distance between two neighboring atoms in a lattice may be less than the latticeconstant.
The variation in the composition of the{Upsilon} matrix affected the latticeconstant of{Upsilon} phase, then the content of{delta} phase,{gamma}{double_prime} and{gamma}{prime} phases was thought to be associated with the latticeconstant of{Upsilon} phase.
In this paper, the latticeconstant of{Upsilon} phase and the content of{delta} phase in Inconel 718 aged at 910 C for different times after cold rolling are measured by X-ray diffraction techniques.
The latticeconstant of{Upsilon} phase as a function of the content of{delta} phase,{gamma}{double_prime} and{gamma}{prime} phases is derived.
LATTICE OPTION, [L] next, previous Section / Table of Contents / Index [L] This option allows you to select the crystal lattice by defining lattice vectors and lattice basis vectors.
This is followed by a prompt Global lattice scaling constant a= asking for a global latticeconstant a to scale all lattice and lattice basis vectors (a = 1.0 yields no scaling).
However, lattice plane directions are denoted by Miller indices using the hexagonal 4-index notation which is confirmed by the lattice code -10 in the message free lattice selected, code = -10 and becomes useful for non-primitive hexagonal lattices, see Sec.
This latticeconstant mismatch in combination with the composition gradient produced during growth of the epitaxial layer of selected composition causes dislocations at the interface between the substrate and the epitaxial layer.
The heavily shaded isolattice constant contour (5.685) is most closely matched to the latticeconstant (5.654) of GaAs, a material commonly used as a substrate in the fabrication of electroluminescent semiconductor materials and devices.
This reduction in the latticeconstant mismatch between the substrate and the layer epitaxially grown thereon reduces the probability that dislocations produced at the interface between the substrate and the epitaxial layer will migrate into the epitaxial layer and degrade its injection and luminous efficiency.

The element Al is involved in the latticeconstant and saturated magnetic flux density of the crystal.
The latticeconstant of the paramagnetic garnet substrate is 12.472±0.013 Å and therefore, it is possible to use a substituted crystalline substrate obtained by the substitution of a gadolinium-gallium-garnet crystal with Ca and/or Zr through addition thereof.
The Faraday rotator according to the third aspect of the present invention is identical to the rotator according to the first aspect of the present invention except that a part of Tb present in the garnet crystal is substituted with Eu.
One particular configuration is designed to match latticeconstant and polarity with the Si(100) surface and to possess a direct band gap of 1.59 µm, which is close to the canonical frequency used by the optoelectronics industry.
The lattice structure of the Type I subclass is similar to the layered, tetragonal ABC_2 structures studied previously, where A and B are group-III elements (instead of II and IV, as in this work) and C is a group-V element.
The difference in the percentage increase of the latticeconstant (δa/a (T)) for the two materials is calculated to be less than 0.01% from 0K to 600K, and actually vanishes at 350K.

Actually, it can be shown that the reciprocal lattice (diffraction pattern) is related to a real crystal lattice through Fourier transform, exactly the same way a time domain signal is related to the frequency domain representation.
The relationship between the real and reciprocal lattice results from “structure factor calculation”, which in essence is the Fourier transform of the periodic real lattice.
The X-rays are used for determining the latticeconstants of the crystals because of its __________.

These images show the insertion of misfit dislocations to accommodate the 5 % mismatch (19 film lattice fringes for every 20 substrate lattice fringes.) However, the dislocation appear to be spread out over many lattice fringes which suggest the dislocation are disassociated into partial dislocations.

Compressibility of M3C60 Fullerene Superconductors: Correlation Between Tc and LatticeConstant
Combined with previous measurements by other groups, we establish a universal first-order relationship between superconducting onset temprature Tc and latticeconstant a over a broad range, 13.9 Angstrom < a < 14.5 Angstrom.
We also observe a small second-order intercalate-specific effect which allows us to rule out the participation of intercalate-fullerene optic modes in the pairing interaction.

(WO 00/38287) MECHANICAL STABILIZATION OF LATTICE MISMATCHED QUANTUM WELLS
InGaAs, the GaAs layers act as mechanical stabilizers keeping the InGaAs layers thin enough to prevent lattice relaxation of the InGaAs quantum well material.
Through selection of the thickness and width of the mechanical stabilizers and strained quantum well layers in the quantum well, 1.3 micron and above wavelength lasing is achieved with use of high efficiency AlGaAs mirrors and standard gallium arsenide substrates.
