I saw a Bolle's Laurel and about 6 other pigeons during a 1.5 hour (9.20-11.00) watch on the rock.
Only the oldest map I had, showed the Erjos Laurel Forest road, and only the two newer ones showed the road between Santiago del Tiede and Las Portelas, the west end of the Erjos Laurel Forest Road.

Right at this spot I could hear at least 3 separate groups of pigeons flapping around in the trees on either side of me. Not flying but just flapping around in the branches like they were feeding, fighting or mating.
I was delighted to behold the fl-grey-fl tail pattern indicating a Bolle's Pigeon.
To improve your odds on these two species, my recommendation is to walk the dirt road rather than drive and (as applies to most bird species), try in the early morning or late evening when they appear to be a lot more active.

The laurel forest was covered with clouds on late morning, but on the first Mirador (=viewpoint)(perhaps Mirador Emmerson, but no sign there indicating this and only a small path to the mirador) we heard a strange gurgling pigeon call.
We saw at least 12 Bolles pigeons on the way back in the evening and one bird that might have been a Laurel Pigeon but about that one we were not sure.
One Laurel pigeon, clearly seen, but not for long as it was also flying fast over the canopy.

 Birdwatching Trip Report from La Gomera
The main purpose is often sea watching from the ferry and the search for the land birds, especially the Laurel Pigeon as well as the Bolle’s.
The clouds were then higher up in the mountains and we looked for pigeons at the top of the small hill next to the closed restaurant at La Carbonera.
Between 08:50 and 09:30 we had three good flight views (1+2+1) of Laurel Pigeons, but the highlight was when I discovered one Laurel perched upon a partly dry tree at the peak of the facing mountain.
