His name will most probably be Karl Aleksander Kaplinski, but we have yet one month to discuss it with Kersti.
He was 50cm long (tall if he would be vertical) and weighted 3.67 kg, eyes are blue, hair (as much as he has it) seems to be brown.

The user interface of Sodipodi is a Controlled Single Document Interface (CSDI) similar to The GIMP.
The main author is Lauris Kaplinski, and several other people have contributed to the project.
The primary design goal of Sodipodi is to produce a usable editor for vector graphics, and a drawing tool for artists.

In related news, it seems John Stracke might be taking over maintainership of Sodipodi from Lauris Kaplinski.
Lauris as an individual has spent years on Sodipodi and thus Inkscape, he is a respectable person and the right of being heard, even if you ignore his arguments.

In the first visit, Cristian Domnisoru of the University of St. Thomas and his graduate student Michael Bents traveled to Tartu, Estonia, June 18 through July 11.
The goal of the visit, which was hosted by Maido Remm, Tarmo Puurand, and Lauris Kaplinski at the University of Tartu, was to identify areas in data processing that could be improved in order to enhance the processing of raw data in microarray experiments.
As a result of their intensive efforts during the visit, the colleagues demonstrated the existence of cross-talk in raw data signals and showed that its removal could lead to more accurate instrument readings.

 GNOME Developers News
One of the applications that should not go unmentioned in such a context is Sodipodi.
Sodipodi has become a very nice vector drawing tool and Lauris Kaplinski has been working a lot on it lately.
As for a GNOME 2 port of Sodipodi, well Lauris has said he start on that as soon as GNOME 2 is more widely available, which should be imminent with both Red Hat and Mandrake having shipped it and Collin Walters just having created GNOME 2 upgrade scripts for Debian.

Well, depending on application, you probably want to manage certain set of paper data youself nevertheless.
I am not working on anything like that, but if nobody volunteers, I have to start with text part myself some time, to make gnome-print usable in Pangoified world.

Shared pool of standard IDL files: A pool of these IDL files will come from Bonobo, but Jacob has expressed the problems of having IDL files scattered across modules and the dependency problems that this causes.
GnomeDialog will be marked as "deprecated", but it is not possible to wrap GtkDialog (according to Havoc, there is little gain, and too much pain to be suffered).

Font support in Gnome-Print is currently evolving into separate Gnome-Font module, developed by Lauris Kaplinski.
