  ACTIVITIES OF THE NIGERIAN LAW REFORM COMMISSION   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-09)
The Nigerian Law Reform Commission (hereinafter referred to as “the Commission”) was established in July 1979 by the Nigerian Law Reform Commission Act Cap 313 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 1990(hereinafter referred to as “the Act”).
The Commission is now examining all the laws relating to the family with a view to making comprehensive recommendations for the protection of the legal rights and interests of women and children in particular; and all family members in general.
The Commission’s present family law reform project is in line with the innovative provision of section 17 (3) (h) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which enjoins the State to direct its policy towards ensuring that “the evolution and promotion of family life is encouraged”.

The Report on Lawlessness in Law Enforcement was one of the fourteen reports published by the National Commission on Law Observance and Enforcement, known popularly as the Wickersham Commission.
The commission conducted the first national study of the administration of justice in the United States and was a precursor to the President's Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Justice (1965-1967), popularly known as the President's Crime Commission.
The series reveals that a majority of the commission disagreed with the need to conduct a major investigation of this case, and the commission refused to issue the final report on the case as one of its official documents.

The New Jersey Law Revision Commission, established in 1985, revises the statutory law of New Jersey.

An official appointed British Law Commission in 1995 came to the same conclusion as the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - DSM-IV - in 1994; SM or sadomasochism, short of causing serious or permanently disabling injury, should be no crime (and no disease) between consenting adults.
The 1995 Law Commission evaluated the infliction of consensual pain and roleplay in religion, sport and sado-masochism, and found no reason to legally discriminate people because of their sexual SM orientation.
