It is strange how a police officer is armed with a weapon to protect the honest citizens of our nation and then when he/she uses it they are put on desk duty (taken out of the field) or disarmed of their shield and gun until all charges against them (the law enforcement officer) is cleared.
The average police officer of whom I have been acquainted is a servant of the public who is under-paid and over-worked.
Police officers are the reason that our highways are safe, our houses have not been burglarized or burned, our wives and daughters have not been raped.
