Topic: Law review

Law review - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A law review is a scholarly journal focusing on legal issues, normally published by an organization of students at a law school or through a bar association.
Because of the competitive process by which law reviews select their staff and the intense research and writing experience gained by being a part of the journal, membership is considered a prestigious credential.
Law reviews should not be confused with non-scholarly publications such as the New York Law Journal or The American Lawyer, which are independent, professional newspapers and newsmagazines that cover the daily practice of law.

 Wisconsin Law Review
It is uncertain if the founders expected the Law Review to endure for three quarters of a century; however, it is certain that the wisdom of their purpose is the foundation of the Law Review's success.
Although the publication of each of these types of articles was important in realizing the stated purpose of the Law Review, the founders devoted most of their efforts to professional articles, the majority of which analyzed Wisconsin law.
Accordingly, to determine if the Law Review has remained true to the founders' purpose, we must examine whether the articles that are now being published are those best suited to serve the people of Wisconsin and facilitate the logical development of Wisconsin law in the present-day legal environment.
