In 1953, the organization's name was officially changed to Lawrence Road Fire Company.
Designated as Mercer County Fire Station 22, Lawrence Road Fire Company provides first-due fire protection to the homes and businesses in Lawrence Township Fire District 2, as well as mutual aid to the township's two other fire districts and also to neighboring municipalities, including the state capital, the City of Trenton.
