One of the Neolithic monuments of Primorye, which is not similar to the others, is Valentin-Peresheyek (Valentin-Isthmus) settlement (Lazovsky District).
In Siny (Blue) Gay settlement (Chernigovsky District) the remains of 30 Neolithic dwellings were found.
The most intensive excavations were held in Lidovka (Dalnegorsky District) and Blagodatny (Terneysky District) settlements (a so-called Lidovsky archaeological culture).

Lazovsky is one of the last habitats of the endangered goral.
Lazovsky Zapovednik is particularly important for its role in protecting large mammals in their natural habitat.
Over time, the size of the reserve expanded and shrunk with changeable flows of environmental politics, and was even demoted to the status of a zakaznik for six years in the 1950s, but by 1979 it had nearly attained its contemporary size of 120,000 hectares.

Slave labour is a reality in the Russian Pacific region of Primorye, and according to anecdotal evidence one such labourer was beaten to death by his boss, wrote the Vladivostok newspaper on Tuesday.
While shadowing forestry officials in Lazovsky district recently, reporter Yury Sudakov met an elderly villager from Sokolchi, who told him about the use of slave labour.
In another example cited by Sudakov, a 'slave owner' in Terneisky district beat up four workers last August, causing one death.
