  Le Mouton noir - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Le Mouton Noir (in English: The Black Sheep) is a Quebec documentary produced in 1992 by the National Film Board of Canada (NFB).
He is himself the director of Le Confort et l'indifférence, a similar analytic film about the 1980 plebiscite, and is brought into Le Mouton Noir especially for that reason.
In 2003, a sequel was brought to theaters called Les héritiers du mouton noir.

Le Mouton Noir owners Karen and Jeff Breslow are doing what they love again.
The smell of smoke still faintly hangs outside Le Mouton Noir's back door, even though new paint, fixtures and appliances adorn the popular restaurant that was forced to close after a late December fire.
Breslow, a retired school superintendent, said he was with Karen to pick their daughter up from camp one day in Saratoga, but arrived early and decided to have a walk through town.

He is an avid hiker, but first he is chef at the quaint and romantic Le Mouton Noir restaurant in Saratoga, which has been serving classic French food for 20 years.
Eventually he studied formally for his profession at Johnson and Wales College in Providence, R.I. When he came to California three years ago, it was to study 12 hours a day without pay under Roland Passot of La Folie Restaurant in San Francisco, the man he credits with being the biggest influence on his cooking.
Later, he moved to Los Gatos to work for a while at Cafe Marcella and later at Le Mouton Noir, which changed ownership last October when Karen and Jeff Breslow of Los Altos bought it.
