Leah LaBelle (born Leah Vladowski on 8 September 1986) is an American singer, one of the finalists on the third season of the reality/talent-search television series American Idol.
LaBelle was born in Toronto, Canada to Bulgarian immigrants.
LaBelle auditioned for the third season of American Idol in New York City; she was a member of the third group of semifinalists, but was not voted through to the final round.

Leah LaBelle, the 17-year-old ''American Idol'' contender from Seattle, has made more of an impression with viewers for bursting into tears than with her singing.
If you all remember, her mother is supposedly a "star" from her own country, and you may also remember how she was coaching Leah's group of three with the dance steps etc. From what I have seen, I would bet her mother is very pushy, and may be very hard on Leah to do well.
Leah may think she's been working for 17 years cuz her stage-struck mother may have been working her over for 17 years.

Leah has a lot of talent, in case you didn't know; Leah did not WANT to sing You Keep Me Hanging on The producers had her sing it.
Leah was the one who had the beautiful voice and stage presence but yet she didn't show it when she sung Keep Me Hanging On.
Her performance was the weakest of the 12 that night but I still voted 4 her 7 times because there was something that I enjoyed about her, the ability of singing and stage presence that she displayed.

What was particularly nice was that she then got to sit alone in the losers' circle for a seemingly interminable rundown of the judges' comments on the next five contestant's performances.

This week we say good-bye to Leah Labelle, the Bulgarian spitfire whose soulful stylings were actually not soulful at all, but sucky.
I actually liked her (loved the army jacket she wore on the Wild Card Results show), but her performance was lackluster at best, and her singing was off.
