Stairway To Heaven, a great classic song zeppelin really goes out on this song it may be not as hard but it really is a classic rock song i love it, 5/5 stars
Also known as the "rune" album or Zoso because of the medieval symbols adorning the inner sleeve, Led Zeppelin's fourth album, released in 1971, turned them from mere superstars into giant behemoths of the rock world.
Jimmy Page was a top London studio guitarist before he got rich and famous as the musical leader of Led Zeppelin.

Led Zeppelin was a British band noted for their innovative, influential approach to heavy blues-rock and as one of the most popular and influential bands of all time.
The second record, simply titled Led Zeppelin II, followed in the same style later that year and included the bludgeoning riff of "Whole Lotta Love", which, driven by the rhythm section of John Bonham on drums and John Paul Jones on bass, defined their sound at the time.
In 1974, Led Zeppelin launched their own record label called Swan Song, named after one of only five songs that the band never recorded for commercial release (the track was re-tooled as "Midnight Moonlight" by Page's post-Zeppelin band The Firm on their first album).

But the softer, folk-rock side of Zeppelin proved to be equally influential, and it was the band's fourth album that achieved the finest balance between bucolic strums and ear-smashing bombast.
Led Zeppelin made other fine albums, but this one remains the core of their canon.
Led Zep have had a lot of imitators over the past few years, but it takes cuts like this to show that most of them have only picked up the style, lacking any real knowledge of the meat underneath.

Led Zeppelin were successful despite they didn't enter those charts.
A strange circumstance happened to them in Copenhagen too, in the February 1970: Led Zeppelin were forced to perform as "The Nobs" because of a legal threat by the heirs of the count Von Zeppelin, the inventor of dirigible used by the group.
Afterwards the bad days came and the Led Zeppelin's story was marked by two tragedies: the sudden death of Plant's son (because of a viral infection) and the death of the drummer John Bonham, who died of suffocation after a night of alcoholic excesses.

Like its predecessor, Led Zeppelin II was an immediate hit, topping the American charts two months after its release and spending seven weeks at number one.
Led Zeppelin IV was the band's most musically diverse effort to date, featuring everything from the crunching rock of "Black Dog" to the folk of "The Battle of Evermore," as well as "Stairway to Heaven," which found the bridge between the two genres.
Despite the fact that the album never reached number one in America, Led Zeppelin IV was their biggest album ever, selling well over 16 million copies over the next two and a half decades.

It might seem a bit incongruous to say that Led Zeppelin -- a band never particularly known for its tendency to understate matters -- has produced an album which is remarkable for its low-keyed and tasteful subtely, but that's just the case here.
The first, coyly titled "Rock And Roll," is the Zeppelin's slightly-late attempt at tribute to the mother of us all, but here it's definitely a case of better late than never.

With the release of Led Zeppelin III, the band expanded their sound and began exploring past the muscular interpretations of the blues that made up both Led Zeppelin I and Led Zeppelin II.
I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Misty Mountain Hop, which personally, I find to be the most fun Zeppelin song to sing along to, what with its almost chanted lyrics.
It was that dynamic, the fact that Jimmy's guitar just seemed to speak to you, that separated Zeppelin not only from their peers at the time, but from the current crop of rock bands as well.

The fourth album released by the British blues/rock band Led Zeppelin is variously referred to as Led Zeppelin IV, Four Symbols, Runes, Sticks, Zoso (after the first character or symbol used in the title), Four, or even Untitled.
After the fairly negative critical reaction Led Zeppelin III had received in fall 1970, Jimmy Page decided that the next album would not have a proper title in order to see if the music could sell itself.
The original pressing did not have a readable title or the name Led Zeppelin anywhere on the outside, instead featuring four hand-drawn symbols (each one designed by the band member it represents) on the inner sleeve and record label.

Although Led Zeppelin is considered the definitive heavy metal band, producing loud blues interpretations with heavy mythology, British folk and world music overtones, it was hardly a darling of the contemporary media.

Led Zeppelin certainly thrived from the interplay of four distinct personalities; the down-to-earth John Bonham, the classical and disciplined John Paul Jones, the arrogant but hugely talented Robert Plant and the mysterious guitarist Jimmy Page.
Led Zeppelin II (such a nice thoughtful title) may start the same way as that ghastly show but it certainly doesn't continue in the same vein.
The previous Led Zeppelin III (I just love the names of their records) had been a largely acoustic affair and here it matured in the wonderful Battle of Evermore, Going to California and that big favourite of FM radio Stairway to Heaven.

After releasing the mostly acoustic "Led Zeppelin 3" (1970) album, the band produces a stunning album which is a blend of rock, blues and folk oriented songs.
