Ledley King was born on 10th December, 1980, in Bow, London.
King started out at Tottenham as a central defensive midfielder, where he enjoyed a lot of success, but he was soon moulded into a hard, physical central defender.
Ledley King can consider himself unlucky not to have been selected for the England squad for the World Cup in 2006.

Ledley’s early career was characterised by solid play, playing it simple and being effective but as he has got more responsibility a few more errors than we could have expected from a player of his general quality have crept in, and eradication of these errors will be the making or breaking of him.
I always had faith that Ledley was going to be a real star (see comments below) and it is fantastic that he is now winning plaudits from a wide audience and full International recognition should not be far away.

King has pace, is good in the air and is also versatile.
Hmmm i am not sure on Ledley, would like to see him in europe first, maybe at the world cup he would get a run in, but he seems to be impressing week in week out for spuds so probably.
We should see how he pans out for the rest of the season but bringing in King for him is probably a good idea because King can play in midfield as well.
